This week marks the first week of Summer. YES, finally it's here. It's our favorite time of year. Not only is it high wedding season, perfect weather for wearing your
Heels Above, but it's all about BBQ- pool parties, warm evenings out on the terrace and lazing the day away out in the sun! Throw on your strappy sandals, grab a glass of Rose' and get ready to try some of summer's sweetest trends.
1. The Little White Dress
Nothing says summer quite like a flowing-in-the-breeze white dress. Current fave is this one from
Calypso. In fact Calypso has so many beautiful bohemian style dresses. The hardest thing is deciding which one to pick.
2. Lace it Up
The sweetest looks this season involve dainty lace details, like this pretty sundress from
Topshop. This number comes in white too. We love them both.
3. Caramel colored sandals
The perfect shoe color to go with all your summery outfits is this season's go to... Caramel. Try this leather ankle wrap platform sandal from
Nordstrom. This color will go with just about everything in your closet.
4. Nautical Nature
You don't need to navigate the high seas to wear this fun trend. The striped nautical look is classic and will do well each summer season. Here is a simple striped pullover by Vineyard Vines. You can find it at
Nordstrom. Paired with jeans or anything white will be one of your go to summer staples.
And why not throw your beach gear into this tote made of recycled sails by
Seabags? How cute is that?
5. Pom-Pom Party
Nothing beats festive tassels, dangling beads and soft, fuzzy pom-poms. Check out this chic Tulum dress from
Revolve clothing. This site also has adorable pom bikinis on sale now too.
6. The Poncho
This summer trend is so versatile that it can be it's own outfit or an accessory! Worn with a light cami underneath all you have to do is throw on a pair of white linen pants or skinny jeans and you are set! We personally love it worn as a cover up for the beach or on vacay somewhere fabulous! This is our favorite find so far from
Paula & Chlo.
There you have it folks! Have some fun and remember to savor each sweet summer day. Here's to the Summer of '15.
